Ramon Revilla Sr. gets 'Gawad Miong' award

MANILA, Phillippines - Former senator Ramon Revilla Sr. is one of the recipients of the Gawad Miong award, which recognizes outstanding contributions made to the economy of Cavite province.
The other awardee is former Cavite governor Juanito "Johnny" Remulla, a rival of Revilla in politics. Both attended the awarding ceremony.
Young actor Jolo Revilla hopes to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps as he enters politics. Jolo, son of Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., is currently the president of Liga ng mga Barangay-Cavite Chapter and executive vice president of Liga ng mga Barangay ng Pilipinas.
He said he is proud of his grandfather's latest achievement, and is happy to serve his province at a young age.
